Χάκαρε το Γυμναστήριο με αυτά τα tips

So you’ve made the decision to go to the gym and get the body you want. And God willing and Covid-19 permitting, you’ll be able to keep going. But every beginning is difficult and we don’t want to leave you like that. That’s why we’ve compiled here the most useful tips for a successful effort in the gym, combining good performance and psychology.

1. Keep your gym bag in your car

This first tip may seem expected, but you’d be surprised how many people forget or neglect to properly prepare for their workout. The hardest part about going to the gym is getting there. So why distract yourself or give yourself another excuse to avoid it? Exercise, above all else, requires discipline and consistency.

So why not have everything you need in the car to be ready to go at any time?

2. Use your playlist

If you find yourself checking the time to go, then this tip might be the perfect one for you. Also, you should consider changing your workout routine and look for something that you actually have fun with.

In any case, try adding songs that motivate you to your gym – playlist, both as motivation and to keep you on track. Your playlist can correspond to the amount of time you want to stay in the gym and act as your motivation.

This tip may not work equally well for everyone, but it’s an easy way to keep your mind occupied and really enjoy your workout.

3. Put your phone in silent or even flight mode

The hardest thing to fight in the gym is distractions. It’s very easy for a notification on Messenger or Instagram to make you waste time scrolling. Aside from the fact that there are others in the gym who want to use the same machine as you, there’s a reason you’re there…you know, to work out!

You can use apps that don’t require data or Wi-Fi to listen to music.

4. Go to the gym on a schedule

Many people go to the gym with a general idea of what they need to do, e.g. Legs or back. But what saves time and gets results is to have pre-decided what exercises to do, how many sets of each, and to include warm-ups and stretches at the beginning and end of your workout, respectively.

5. Don’t limit yourself to just one type of exercise

If you get bored easily and haven’t yet identified the style of exercise that suits you, then don’t limit yourself. Most gyms offer a plethora of programs where you can experiment with different types of fitness, from gentler, to more vigorous. It’s not just weights. You can incorporate more fun workout days into your schedule. Explore your options and don’t be shy about trying different things until you find the one you can commit to and invest in.

6. Ask for help!

Many times, you can find yourself in a position where you don’t know what to do. Trust me, asking for help is better than getting hurt! Don’t be shy and ask the staff to explain an exercise or how the machine you want to do works. Most people at the gym are friendly and willing to help you, because we are united by the common effort we make at the same time.

7. Is it possible to work out without proper diet?

No is the answer and the reason is quite clear. The organism is a machine. To burn fat and produce muscle it needs fuel, i.e. food. If you don’t want to visit a nutritionist, make sure you get enough protein daily to help your body reach the desired goal faster. A mindful diet with lower-intensity exercise will take you much further than constant, difficult workouts.

Remember that no goal can be achieved by force, no matter how much discipline you have. You need to love what you do! Your goal can be to make exercise and good nutrition a lifestyle. Enjoy your visits to the gym and see the benefits, both in the mirror and within yourself.

We wish you a good, dynamic start!
